This product explores the interaction between an object and the surface it is placed on. The ship appears to be sinking into the table therefore creating the illusion that the table is made of liquid. We now have the option to imagine the table as the sea, swallowing the ship into its depths. The front and back pieces of the sinking ship can be positioned freely in order to manipulate the negative space between the two halves.

"lift off" is a table top sculptural object which depicts the launch of a giant space rocket.
This object not only transforms the table top from being flat and dull into an explosive action scene, it also engages the ceiling, since that's where the rocket is heading. The negative space between the tip of the rocket and the ceiling comes alive, and we see an object affecting its surroundings significantly. The spectacle of a rocket launch scaled down to the size of a table top product creates great escapism for the imaginative user, as well as activating the space it's placed in.
